The Facebook group “Petition to have IRELAND Vs FRANCE REPLAYED!!!” currently has 223,091 members. Apparently there is going to be a protest march to the FAI offices although maybe they should be focusing on FIFA rather than the FAI. Interestingly, one of the group discussions is about who people would want to win between England and France should they so meet. The image of France is now so bad that many would rather see the English win rather than “THE CHEATING FRENCH ARROGANT T***S” (that’s a quote from the site, not my own words!). Apparently England isn’t that bad, the people are nice, and many wish England well. How times have changed…
